WTA rankings: Sasnovich down to number 92 ahead of US Open

MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Belarus’ Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost 24 spots ahead of the US Open in the recently published WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Last week Aliaksandra Sasnovich ranked 68th but lost in the second round in Cleveland and went down to number 92.

Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus goes second, Belarus’ Victoria Azarenka is 18th.

WTA Top Ten:

1. Iga Swiatek (Poland) – 9,955 points;
2. Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) – 8,746;
3. Jessica Pegula (USA) – 5,945;
4. Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) – 5,670;
5. Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) – 4,831;
6. Cory Gauff (USA) – 4,595;
7. Caroline Garcia (France) – 3,820;
8. Maria Sakkari (Greece) – 3,585;
9. Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic) – 3,401;
10. Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic) – 2,995.

Belarus’ Ilya Ivashka left ATP Top 100 to place world number 103.
