WTA rankings: Aryna Sabalenka remains 5th

MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) - Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus remained 5th in the recently published WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

The best Belarusian tennis player lost in her Miami opener, yet kept her 5th position in the WTA rankings with a total of 4,657 points. Victoria Azarenka, who also had no luck in Florida, goes 17th with 2,281 points. Aliaksandra Sasnovich went up nine spots to 51st (1,123 points) after reaching the round of Last 16 in Miami. Miami Open winner Iga Swiatek of Poland took number one ranking for the first time in her career.
