Winners of Belarus’ media workers’ sports festival announced

MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – Winners of the Health sports festival for employees of the Information Ministry’s affiliated organizations were announced on 17 August, BelTA has learned.

The two-day event was held at the Staiki Olympic Training Center. The participants competed in volleyball, futsal, table tennis, cross-country running, kettlebell lifting, and tug-of-war. A family relay race called Merry Starts was also in the program. Team leaders participated in their traditional darts and air rifle shooting tournaments.

This year’s event brought together 20 teams totaling over 500 participants from national and regional media outlets across the country.

The team of Cosmos TV emerged as the overall winner of the competitions, with the National State Television and Radio Company securing second place and the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House taking third.

BelTA earned podium positions in five different sporting events and finished ninth in the overall team rankings.

The awards ceremony took place on 17 August. The Health sports festival is held among Information Ministry’s affiliated organizations that include both print and electronic media outlets.
