MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) - The International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) has lifted all restrictions on Belarusian athletes, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
The UIPM Executive Board made the decision to restore the rights of Belarusian athletes based on the IOC recommendations of 7 May 2026. “Athletes and teams from Belarus will be able to represent their country at tournaments under the auspices of UIPM and will compete in national uniforms, with the country’s flag and anthem,” the organization said.
At the upcoming 2026 UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Cup in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria, on 13-18 May, our athletes will still compete in neutral status, but starting from the event in Budapest on 9 June, all restrictions will be fully lifted.
