Three medals for Belarus at start of 2025 European Draughts-64 Championship

MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won three medals at at the start of the 2025 European Draughts-64 Championship in Kemer, Turkiye, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.

The classic game featured 48 players from 16 countries. Ihar Mikhalchenka of Belarus won silver in the men’s event. Georgii Taranin was third. Viktoryia Nikalayeva cliamed bronze in the women’s event.

The rapid program is scheduled for 18 April, with the blitz event is due on 19 April.
