MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – Ten Belarusian athletes claimed medals at the 2026 Kazakhstan Open G-1 international taekwondo tournament in Astana, the press service of the Staiki National Olympic Training Center told BelTA.
Competitors vied for medals across three age groups, with the Belarusian team securing one gold, three silver, and six bronze medals. In the senior division, Raman Turavinau clinched victory in the -80kg category. Yulia Vitko claimed silver in the -57kg category, while Maksim Bandarevich (-63kg) and Artsiom Plonis (+87kg) both earned bronze.
In the junior (U18) division, Tatsiana Hutyrchyk (-68kg) and Bahdan Aliyeu (-78kg) both claimed silver medals. Anastasiya Kurylionak (-63kg), Matvej Ananich (-68kg), and Artsiom Tsetsera (-73kg) took home bronze. Among the cadets (U16), Arseni Sinhayeuski secured a third-place finish in the -57kg weight class.
