Six Belarusian athletes get FIS neutral status

MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has published a list of the first nine athletes from Belarus and Russia who have been granted Individual Neutral Athlete (AIN) status, BelTA has learned.

The neutral status has been granted to Belarusian freestyle skiers Hanna Huskova, Anna Derugo, Anastasiya Andryianava, Ihar Drabiankou, and Uladzislau Vazniuk, as well as alpine skier Maria Shkanova. Three Russian athletes are also on the list. The mentioned athletes will be eligible to participate in qualification events for the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. In the coming days and weeks, as additional compliance checks are conducted, FIS will publish updated versions of the list of neutral athletes.

The upcoming stages of the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup are scheduled for Zhangjiakou, China (20 December), Lac-Beauport, Canada (6-7 January), and Lake Placid (11 January) and Deer Valley (18 January) in the United States. Before the Olympic Games, the Alpine Skiing World Cup – Women’s Slalom events will be held in Courchevel, France (16 December), Semmering, Austria (28 December), Kranjska Gora, Slovenia (4 January), Flachau, Austria (13 January), and Špindlerův Mlýn, Czech Republic (25 January).
