MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Belarusian tennis player Aliaksandra Sasnovich won her opening match at the 2026 Athens Open, which features a prize pool of $283,000, BelTA has learned.
In the opening round Aliaksandra Sasnovich (No. 143) defeated Russia’s Anna Blinkova (No. 102) in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, after two hours of play.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich will face the winner of the match between Czech player Tereza Valentova (No. 40) and Sofia Costoulas of Belgium (No. 157) in the second round.
The tournament in the Greek capital will conclude on 19 July.
