Sasnovich moves up to 32nd in WTA

MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – Ahead of the US Open Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus has moved up to the 32nd position in the WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Last week Aliaksandra Sasnovich was 36th to rose four spots after reaching the final in Cleveland. Now the Belarusian goes with 1,461 points. Best Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka remained 6th with 3,470 points, former world number one Victoria Azarenka is 26th with 1,841 points.

In the ATP rankings the best-placed Belarusian is Ilya Ivashka (73rd with 865 points). Egor Gerasimov is 170th (307).
