MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) - Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka has advanced to the 2026 Indian Wells WTA-1000 final, BelTA has learned.
Last night, the world No. 1 defeated Linda Nosková of Czechia (No. 14) in two sets 6-3, 6-4 to set up final clash against Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina (No. 3).
At Indian Wells Aryna Sabalenka defeated Hineme Sakatsume of Japan (No. 136) 6-4, 6-2; Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian (No.35) 6-4, 6-1; Japan’s Naomi Osaka (No. 16) 6-2, 6-4 and Canada’s Victoria Mboko 7-6 (7-0), 6-4 in the quarterfinals.
The Indian Wells tournament will wrap up on 15 March. This is the third Indian Wells final for Aryna Sabalenka in four years in 2026. As of March 2026, she is a two-time runner-up (2023, 2026) looking for her maiden title this year. Belarusian Victoria Azarenka won the Indian Wells tournament in 2012 and 2016.
