Palina Brahinets takes gold at U17 European Wrestling Championships

MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Palina Brahinets of Belarus clinched gold at the U17 European Wrestling Championships in Skopje, North Macedonia, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian secured a champion title in the 57kg event defeating Zara Petrovic of Croatia, Josefien Coomans of the Netherlands, Italy’s Sophie Ritter, and Olga Popova of Bulgaria. Palina Brahinets won the final against Ukraine’s Ivanna Lukianenko 8-3.

Last year Palina Brahinets claimed bronze at the U17 World Wrestling Championships and secured a victory at the U15 European Wrestling Championships.
