Over 6.53m Belarusians complete vaccination against COVID-19

MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – More than 6.635 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, of them over 6.535 million have completed the vaccination regimen, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

Over 904,300 people completed the vaccination regimen in Brest Oblast, over 802,100 in Vitebsk Oblast, over 991,500 in Gomel Oblast, over 703,900 in Grodno Oblast, over 1 million in Minsk Oblast, over 697,800 in Mogilev Oblast, and over 1.31 million in the city of Minsk.

About 116,100 employees of organizations and institutions have completed the vaccination process.

More than 233,700 children and teenagers aged 5-17 have received one shot of the vaccine, of them more than 218,000 have been fully vaccinated.

Thus, 71.7% of the country’s population have received one dose of the vaccine, 70.6% have been fully vaccinated.

Belarusians are also getting booster shots of the vaccine, with 66.2% of the population having received them so far.
