Over 6.4m Belarusians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Over 6.554 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, of them over 6.44 million have completed the vaccination process, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

Over 892,500 people completed the vaccination regimen in Brest Oblast, over 790,700 in Vitebsk Oblast, over 976,000 in Gomel Oblast, over 693,800 in Grodno Oblast, over 987,100 in Minsk Oblast, over 692,000 in Mogilev Oblast,  and over 1.3 million in the city of Minsk.

Over 111,000 employees of organizations and institutions have completed the vaccination process.

More than 173,100 people aged 5-17 have received one shot of the vaccine, of them more than 151,100 have been fully vaccinated.

Thus, 70.8% of the country’s population have received one dose of the vaccine, 69.6% have been fully vaccinated.

Belarusians are also getting booster shots of the vaccine, with 42.8% of the population having received them so far.
