Over 5.5m Belarusians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

MINSK, 1 April March (BelTA) – More than 5.961 million people in Belarus have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, of them over 5.504 million have received their second jab, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

The regional breakdown of people who got the second shot is as follows: over 774,300 in Brest Oblast, over 709,500 in Vitebsk Oblast, over 814,800 in Gomel Oblast, over 614,800 in Grodno Oblast, over 603,800 in Mogilev Oblast, over 840,800 in Minsk Oblast, and more than 1.03 million in the city of Minsk.

More than 107,100 employees of various organizations and departments have been fully vaccinated so far.

Over 85,300 teenagers aged 12-17 have received one shot of the vaccine, of them more than 62,900 children have been fully vaccinated.

Thus, 63.8% of the country’s population received one dose of the vaccine, 58.9% completed the full course of vaccination. Booster vaccination continues.
