Over 3.26m Belarusians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – More than 4.225 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, of them 3.266 million have been fully vaccinated, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

The Healthcare Ministry explained why the number of people who completed the vaccination course has increased significantly. "This is due to the fact that some citizens (more than 108,100) got vaccinated with a one-dose vaccine," the press service said.

At the same time, this number [4.225 million] includes people vaccinated with the first dose of Sputnik V, the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine and one-dose Sputnik Light.

The number of 3.266 million includes people vaccinated with the second shot of Sputnik V, the second dose of the Sinopharm vaccine and one-dose Sputnik Light, the Healthcare Ministry noted.
