Over 2.8m people in Belarus fully vaccinated against COVID-19

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – More than 3.548 million people in Belarus have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, of them over 2.805 million have received their second jab, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

According to the National Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health, as of 26 November, over 77,500 booster vaccinations were administered.

More than 90% of healthcare workers, over 69% of people working in education, over 80.3% of employees of residential care facilities and social workers got two shots; 95.5% of people over 18 years old living in such facilities also completed the two-dose regimen.

Two doses of the vaccine were given to more than 54% of people over 60 years old and people with chronic diseases, over 40% of people working in the retail sector and food service industry, transportation, housing and communal services (including electricity and water supply), over 50% of people providing consumer services and working in cultural and sports facilities. The vaccination effort continues.
