NOC president congratulates Aryna Sabalenka on her victory at US Open

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko has congratulated Aryna Sabalenka on her victory at the 2025 US Open, the NOC press service told BelTA.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka closed the Grand Slam season by successfully defending her US Open title, defeating American Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 7-6 in the final.

A congratulatory message praised her achievement: “Thanks to your brilliant talent, strong work ethic, and the incredible fortitude of a true champion, you displayed a masterclass in powerful and consistent tennis. By retaining your title, you have become the first player to do so at the US Open since 2014. Once again, you proved you are without equal on the court. Millions of Belarusians, who watched you with bated breath, are filled with immense pride and admiration for your triumph.”

With this victory, the 27-year-old has now won four Grand Slam titles: two Australian Opens (2023, 2024) and two US Opens (2024, 2025).
