KOSTYUKOVICHI, 5 September (BelTA) – Molodechno has been chosen to host the 2027 Belarusian Written Language Day, as revealed during the gala concert of the 33rd edition of the festival in Kostyukovichi on 5 September, BelTA has learned.
A ceremony marking the official transfer of the host city status took place on the festival’s main stage with the passing of the symbolic pennant. Chairwoman of the Kostyukovichi District Executive Committee Natalya Osmolovskaya presented it to Chairman of the Molodechno District Executive Committee Pavel Gubko.
Natalya Osmolovskaya expressed her gratitude to the nation’s leadership for the honor of hosting the Belarusian Written Language Day. “To us, this festival is more than just a calendar date, it is a genuine symbol of devotion to our mother tongue. We are delighted to host it,” she said. “Dear friends, thank you for taking the time to share this celebration with us. I am certain you will take home only the warmest memories. Today, it is our great pleasure to pass the torch of the Belarusian Written Language Day to another region.”






Pavel Gubko accepted the pennant amid thunderous applause from the crowd. On behalf of entire Molodechno District, he expressed deep appreciation for the privilege of hosting such a massive and significant festival next year. “The Molodechno land has always been ine of the cultural centers of Minsk Oblast. It is the birthplace of Yanka Kupala, and a place where Yakub Kolas, Maksim Bogdanovich, and other iconic figures of Belarusian culture lived and worked. Molodechno takes immense pride in its vibrant cultural heritage,” he noted. “I am certain that today’s event will provide momentum for new ideas and projects. I welcome everyone to join the festivities in our town next year, so we can write a new chapter in the history of the Belarusian Written Language Day.”
The festive evening continued with a major creative program. The memorable day in Kostyukovichi will wrap up with a spectacular fireworks show.
