Minsk Cup 2026 to feature six KHL teams

MINSK, 5 August (BelTA) - The Minsk Cup 2026 international ice hockey friendly tournament will be held in the Belarusian capital on 13-17 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarus Ice Hockey Federation.

The pre-season warm-up matches featuring six KHL teams will be hosted at the Olympic Arena. The first group consists of HC Dinamo Minsk, HC Metallurg Magnitogorsk, and HC Shanghai Dragons, while the second group includes HC Sochi, HC Sibir Novosibirsk, and HC Admiral Vladivostok.

The Bisons will play their opening match against the Dragons on 13 August, and will face the Urals team on 15 August. The group winner will advance to the final on 17 August, with third-place and fifth-place games also taking place on the same day. Last year, HC Metallurg won the tournament in the Belarusian capital.
