MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a resolution to approve the dates of the 29th edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk (Slavonic Bazaar), BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

The main events of the festival will take place on 16-20 July. In order to bring more people to the festival, Belarus will waive visas for participants and spectators from 73 countries. “In order to take advantage of the visa waiver, foreign nationals will need to get a ticket for the events of the festival that will be held in the Summer Amphitheater or in the Vitebsk Concert Hall,” the press service noted.

The government will keep supporting the festival. Thus, its organizers and participants will get certain preferences.

A reminder, the first tickets for the festival went on sale on 21 February. More tickets became available on 21 March. The opening ceremony will take place in the Summer Amphitheater on 16 July. The closing ceremony is scheduled for 20 July.

The tentative budget of the festival is Br6.34 million. About Br4 million will be covered by the ticket sale, the remaining part will be covered by advertisers and sponsors. The organizers believe that the cost recovery will make 88-90%.
