MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) - This year’s slogan of Minsk International Film Festival Listapad will be "Cinema - Symphony of Unity", Director General of the Belarusfilm National Film Studio Vladimir Karachevsky told the media on 3 November, BelTA has learned.

"Cinema - Symphony of Unity" is the slogan of the 27th installment of Minsk International Film Festival Litstapad this year,” Vladimir Karachevsky said. “We declare that Belarus is open for cooperation. Culture helps to establish contacts. We hope that cinema will provide a bridge for human souls, will unite people from all over the world in the desire to save our planet and will give an opportunity to think about what we can lose if we persist in destroying relationships. "

All in all, the festival has received 273 applications from 54 countries. Among them are both old friends and long-standing film partners of Belarus (Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Serbia), and also the countries of Western and Central Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia. The competition of youth cinema "Cinema of the Young” is most popular among directors and film companies, the organizers noted

This year, the main contractor and organizer of the film festival is the Belarusfilm National Film Studio. "This year the festival has a new team, new logo, prize and slogan. The team has done a great job in three months to make sure that the festival should happen this year. Despite all the intrigues and scheming, the festival will take place. The dates announced earlier are confirmed. The festival will be held from 20 to 26 November," the Belarusfilm director general said.
