First medal for Team Belarus at 2025 UEC Track Juniors & U23 European Championships

MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) - Belarusian Ilya Slesarenko became a prizewinner of the 2025 UEC Track Juniors & U23 European Championships Anadia, Portugal, BelTA learned reports.

Ilya Slesarenko placed third in the U18 elimination race thus winning the first medal for Team Belarus. Heimo Fugger of Austria was first and Matvei Yakovlev settled for the second place. All in all, the race featured the athletes from 19 countries.

Belarusian Yana Daniliuk clocked the 5^th result in the U18 Scratch and came in 11^th in the Elimination Race. In the U20 events Iryna Chuyankova was 9^th in the Individual Pursuit and 12^th in the Scratch, and Polina Konrad was 13^th in the relegation race.
