European Gymnastics elects Belarus’ representative as technical committee president

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – Belarusian representative Andrey Fedarau has joined the governing bodies of the European Gymnastics, the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association told BelTA.
At the 31st European Gymnastics Congress in Prague, Andrey Fedarau was elected President of the Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee. The executive director of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association received 35 votes. The technical committee also includes representatives from Spain, Italy, the UK, Israel, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Farid Gayibov of Azerbaijan, who has led the organization since 2017, was re-elected as President of European Gymnastics.
The day before, the European Gymnastics allowed Belarusian and Russian athletes to participate in its tournaments. The decision will come into force on 1 January 2026.
