MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – The book center of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus “Belarus and China: Values Unite Us” opened in Minsk on 26 June, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Syrankov, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, emphasized that today is an important day for all Belarusian communists. “In the run-up to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, together with our Chinese comrades, a representative delegation from the CPC Central Committee, we launched the work of this book center. At all times, the most powerful weapon for communists has been the book: a weapon against lies, falsehoods, and historical falsification, and also a weapon for justice and peace. In this regard, our center naturally features works by the classics of Marxism, Leninism. Here you will find works by Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin. The core focus is on Chinese Marxism and the leading works of Chinese Marxist thinkers, including the key writings of Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee,” he explained.
According to Sergei Syrankov, the opening of such a book center creates opportunities for scholars, sociologists and political scientists, to study fundamental works. “And perhaps find answers to many pressing questions on today’s agenda,” he added.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan noted that the opening of the book center is another good example of the strong relations between China and Belarus. “In recent years, many CPC delegations have visited Belarus, and we also receive many delegations from Belarus, including from the Communist Party,” he said.
The diplomat also recalled that the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China will be celebrated in just a few days. “At this time, a large CPC delegation has arrived in Belarus. China and Belarus share much in common in state and party governance. We hope that these books and this center will help our Belarusian friends, especially comrades from the Communist Party, gain a deeper understanding of China. We will also study Belarus, your path, your ideas. In this regard, we can find much that is useful for both countries and both parties,” he concluded.
Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee of Central and State Organs and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Commission of Central and State Organs of China Wang Aiwen expressed hope that the book center will become an important platform for deepening exchanges on state governance and strengthening mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Belarus.
This book center embodies the sincere friendship between the two parties and the two states, Wang Aiwen said. “We will support its development. We are confident that with joint efforts it will play an important role in deepening theoretical and ideological exchange between the parties, as well as in strengthening mutual understanding and trust between China and Belarus,” he added.
