MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) - Chinese million-follower blogger Jampol, a participant in the familiarization tour of Belarus, shared his impressions of the country and Belarusian cuisine with a BelTA correspondent.
“Before my arrival in Belarus, I had read and thought that Belarus is an agricultural country, and that Belarusian tractors are known throughout the world. In principle, my knowledge of Belarus was quite limited,” Jampol said, adding that he was pleasantly surprised by what he saw and learned about the country after arriving here.
He noted that he was greatly impressed by the places he was able to visit in Belarus. “I am impressed by your protected areas and nature reserves, because they have been preserved in their pristine form; there you get the feeling that humans should not interfere with nature. You feel yourself part of nature,” the blogger said. “We visited the southern part of your country, then came to Grodno. I did not expect that it is quite a large city with so many people; there is very beautiful architecture, buildings, and castles. All of this surprised me very much.”
Jampol also had positive reviews of Belarusian cuisine: “Your food, Belarusian cuisine, pleasantly impressed me. I have visited very many countries before and can compare. Your food is very tasty. Your cuisine matches the taste and preferences of Chinese people.”

Incidentally, Jampol has 18 different platforms, with a total number of followers across various social networks of around 25 million. “Of course, I will advise everyone to visit Belarus. I will definitely recommend and promote your landmarks. I will advise renting a car and staying in Belarus for at least two weeks, or even a month, in order to visit as many landmarks and beautiful places as possible,” the blogger said.
Million-follower bloggers from China are visiting Belarus on a familiarization tour. The journey started in Gomel Oblast, where the guests from China visited Pripyatsky National Park, then the Nesvizh National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, and took a tour of Mir Castle. They got acquainted with Grodno, and also visited the Augustow Canal and the beautiful residence of the Wołłowicz (also spelled as Volovich) family in Svyatsk. An introductory tour of Minsk was also arranged for the guests from China.
The familiarization tour for video bloggers started on 7 September. The organizers are the National Agency for Tourism, with the support of the Belarusian Embassy in China and ASB Belarusbank. The National Agency for Tourism prepared a packed week-long program for the Chinese bloggers, which in the future could form the basis of a new tourism product. The blogger tour for influencers from China is the National Agency for Tourism's first major project to promote Belarus’ tourism potential abroad and attract foreign travelers. Similar tours are planned in the near future for representatives of other friendly countries.
