MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) – Marc Chagall’s masterpiece The Promenade will extend its stay in the Belarusian capital until October, despite original plans to return it to the State Russian Museum after 6 July, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.
“Art enthusiasts are in for a pleasant surprise: Marc Chagall’s famous painting The Promenade will remain in the Belarusian capital longer than planned, with the exhibition extended until October. Following talks between Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, an agreement was reached to extend the display of Chagall’s masterpiece from the collection of the State Russian Museum at the National Art Museum of Belarus,” the government’s press service stated.
