MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) - The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) has ratified world records set by Belarusian athletes, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Sports.
At the 2026 World Championships in the Netherlands in September, Belarusian Maryia Kazelskaya set a world tricks record, scoring 6,110 points. In July, Belarusian Aliaksandr Mikhailau broke the men’s world record in the same discipline. He scored 8,900 points at the 2026 Netherlands & German Open in Weert, Netherlands.
The IWWF also sent Belarus an official certificate confirming the world record set by Irina Turets in the jump event, with a record of 51.6 meters. The Belarusian athlete set the record at the 2021 IWWF World Cableski Championships in Sosnoweic, Poland.
