MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – More than 6,500 tourists have visited the Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) since 1 January 2026, the MTZ press service told BelTA.

“It is especially gratifying that we are seeing growth not only in the total number of visitors but also in foreign guests. The trend is particularly evident among Russian citizens, whose visits in 2025, for instance, doubled compared to 2024. Furthermore, during the first four months of this year, the tourist flow from the neighboring country increased by another 30%,” Sergei Sidorovich, head of the labor glory museum and industrial center at MTZ, said.

He noted that since 2017, guests from 84 countries have discovered industrial tourism at the enterprise, and the geography continues to expand. This year, MTZ welcomed its first-ever tourists from Singapore and the Philippines.

This strong interest in the plant has encouraged the staff at the museum and industrial center to offer new services. For instance, in 2026, they launched two new tour formats with an emphasis on personalization.

“In particular, we offer walking tours for groups of up to five people. This is a direct response to requests from our Russian guests, who prefer exploring MTZ in a more private atmosphere. Additionally, groups of up to six can tour the facility using the plant’s own transport. These packages include a deep dive into production, a visit to the museum, races on a virtual simulator, and even lunch at the factory restaurant,” Sergei Sidorovich added.

The increase in tourism has also had a positive impact on souvenir sales at the retail outlet at the museum and industrial center. In January-April 2026, sales grew by approximately 30% compared to the same period in 2025.
