Belarusian Sasnovich into Strasbourg main draw

MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 50 Aliaksandra Sasnovich has reached the Internationaux de Strasbourg main draw seeing off Germany’s Lena Papadakis (349), 6-2, 6-3, in the decisive qualifying match, BelTA has learned.

In the first qualifying match, the Belarusian took a little more than an hour to defeat Vlada Koval of Russia (373) 6-1, 6-3.

The tournament in Strasbourg will complete on 21 May.
