MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – Five Belarusian athletes have clinched medals at international rhythmic gymnastics tournaments in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, BelTA has learned.
At the Keti Cup in Tbilisi, Hanna Kamenshchykava claimed victory in the senior all-around, scoring 110.950 points across four routines. Her compatriot Nicole Liauta rounded out the top three with a total of 109.450 points, trailing just 0.05 points behind silver medalist Ekaterina Sazonova of Russia. In the junior category, Belarusians Vera Konopatskaya and Anastasiya Ilyenka made the top six, placing 4th and 6th respectively.
In Baku, Kira Babkevich won two gold medals at the AGF Trophy, excelling in ball and hoop among juniors. Additionally, Babkevich teamed up with Margarita Zhurovich to secure third place in the team all-around for duets, competing against pairs from 11 countries. The top spot went to representatives of Kazakhstan, while Russians took silver.
Furthermore, at the Shining Star tournament in Tashkent, Belarusian Kseniya Bandarenka clinched bronze in the junior all-around. Finals in individual events are set to take place in Uzbekistan’s capital on 6 April.
