Belarus top medal table at World Youth Draughts-64 Championship in Bulgaria

MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Belarus placed atop of the medal table at the World Youth Draughts-64 Championship in Bulgaria claiming 15 gold, 15 silver and nine bronze medals, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Draughts Federation.

In the classic program Maria Chersnokova, Victoriya Nikalayeva, Evgeniya Shved, Aliaksei Pauliuchenka and Heorhi Vydzerka claimed champion titles; Uladzislau Valiuk, Zakhar Shibakou, Makar Leu, Aliaksandr Spirin, and Darya Nikifarava won silver medals; and Alesia Masiuk took bronze.  

The gold medals of the rapid program went to Heorhi Vydzerka, Aliaksei Pauliuchenka, Yana Yakubovich, Darya Nikifarava and Evgeniya Shved. Silver medals were collected by Marat Leu, Aliaksandr Spirin, Maria Chersnokova, Viktoriya Nikalayeva, and Alesia Masyuk. Uladzislau Valiuk, Anastasiya Sokolova, Inha Barashko, and Yulia Shved took bronze medals.

The blitz program was won by Heorhi Vydzerka, Yana Yakubovich, Aliaksandra Siniak and Evgeniya Shved. Silver medals went to Vitali Novikau, Marat Leu, Maria Chesnokova, Darya Nikifarava, and Inha Barashko. Uladzislau Valiuk, Aliaksei Pauliuchenka, Artsiom Hutan and Polina Petrusaba finished third.

The Belarusian team of Darya Nikifarava, Evgeniya Shved and Darya Narchuk claimed gold in the team blitz program. The Belarusian team of Heorhi Vydzerka, Mark Akulovich, and Aliaksei Pauliuchenka placed second in the boys event.
