MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) - A working meeting between Viktor Lukashenko, President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus, and Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Russia’s Primorye Territory, took place at the NOC headquarters on 2 June, BelTA learned from the NOC press service.
The parties praised the high level of bilateral relations. The head of the NOC emphasized that representatives of the Russian region are welcome guests in Belarus and can always count on the support of the country.
“In sports, as in other fields, much unites us. In Primorye Territory, everyone loves sports - from the governor to school students. We will continue to cooperate in this area. It is important for us to use your facilities when preparing for international competitions in the Asian region,” Viktor Lukashenko said.

Oleg Kozhemyako noted that the region is always glad to welcome sports delegations from Belarus, and the conditions in Belarus help teams and athletes from Primorye prepare for major events.
“Our HC Admiral holds its pre-season training for the KHL championship in Minsk every year. Excellent conditions are in place there. HC Dinamo Minsk put up a strong performance last season, and we need to strive to match that,” Oleg Kozhemyako added.
The governor of Primorye Territory also expressed readiness to further expand cooperation in youth and junior sports.
