Belarus rout Guatemala at 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – Belarus wrapped up the first round of the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup on a good note, thrashing Guatemala 12-3 in Group A, BelTA has learned.

Ihar Bryshtsel and Anatoliy Ryabko netted four times apiece. Vadzim Bokach scored a brace of headers, the first of which after an imaginative one-two with Mikita Chaikouski, while goalkeeper Uladzimir Ustsinovich was also on target with a gorgeous volley.

Belarus beat Seychelles and Japan 6-3 each. Guatemala lost to Japan 2-6 and then defeated Seychelles 4-3.

The team standings are as follows: Belarus – 9 points (three games played), Guatemala – 3 (3), Japan – 3 (2), and Seychelles – 0 (2). Belarus advances to the quarterfinals.
