Belarus’ Kseniya Norman becomes double world chess champion

MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – Belarusian chess players won five (3, 1, 1) medals at the FIDE World Cadet & Youth Rapid & Blitz Championship 2025 in Rhodes, Greece, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.

Kseniya Norman of Belarus secured a champion title in the U18 blitz event. Earlier she claimed gold in the U18 rapid program. Damir Bulgak clinched gold in the U12 rapid event. Silver went to Yuliya Liavonava (U18 rapid). Nika Venskaya was third in the U14 rapid event.
