Belarus fourth in Beach Soccer Worldwide National Teams ranking

MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) - The Belarusian beach soccer men’s national team has ranked fourth in the recently-released Beach Soccer Worldwide National Teams ranking, BelTA has learned.

Belarus rose two spots following the recent Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles where the team won silver. Brazil remains untouchable at the top of the rankings, with Portugal climbing one spot to second place. Italy dropped one position to third.

In the 2025 Beach Soccer World Cup final, Belarus, led by Spanish coach Nicolas Alvarado, lost narrowly, 3-4, to Brazil. Portugal defeated Senegal, 3-2, in the bronze medal match.

This season, the Belarusian national team will compete in the Euro Beach Soccer League. On 18-20 July, Belarus will play against the Czech Republic, Germany, and Türkiye in Batumi, Georgia. On 25-27 July Belarus will compete against Switzerland, Moldova, and Latvia in Castellammare di Stabia, Italy. The playoffs will take place in Viareggio, Italy on 9-14 September.
