Belarus 98th in FIFA rankings

MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) - The Belarusian national football team wraps up the 2024 year at the 98th position of the latest rankings by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), BelTA has learned.

Over the past month Belarus did not play any matches. Now the Belarusian national team has 1226.31 points. In the sovereign history, the highest position that Belarus held in the FIFA ranking was the 36th place in February 2011. 

The FIFA top ten:

1. Argentina - 1867.25 points
2. France - 1859.78
3. Spain - 1853.27
4. England - 1813.81
5. Brazil - 1775.85
6. Portugal - 1756.12
7. Netherlands - 1747.55
8. Belgium - 1740.62
9. Italy - 1731.51
10. Germany - 1703.79

The next FIFA rankings will be published on 3 April 2025.

Belarus go 50th in the FIFA women’s rankings with 1495.84 points. The list is topped by the United States. Top Five also comprise Spain, Germany, England and Sweden. The next women’s rankings will be published on 6 March 2025.
