Beautiful, fascinating country with deep roots. Chinese bloggers continue exploring Belarus
GRODNO, 10 September (BelTA) - A familiarization tour of Belarus for Chinese bloggers continues. The participants visited Grodno, explored the city’s key landmarks, and took a tour of the narrow-gauge railway in Ozyory Landscape Reserve on 10 September, BelTA has learned.
The bloggers began exploring Grodno Oblast on 9 September with a visit to Mir Castle and the Belye Luga tourist village in Korelichi District. On 10 September, the million-follower bloggers continued discovering the tourism potential of Grodno Oblast. They first took a trip along the narrow-gauge railway in Ozyory Landscape Reserve, followed by a tour of the historic center of Grodno.
The Chinese bloggers walked along Sovetskaya pedestrian street, admired the city’s architecture and explored its lively courtyards. Places of particular interest on their itinerary were the churches. The guests visited the Cathedral of St. Francis Xavier, which forms part of the complex of buildings and structures of the Jesuit monastery and is a Baroque architectural monument, and the Kalozha Church, Belarus’ oldest Orthodox church dating back to the 12th century and a candidate for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The travelers took photos and videos from the observation deck on Darvina Street, enjoying a bird’s-eye view. After seeing the Old and New Castles, they learned why Grodno is known as a royal city.
Chinese blogger Ting said he felt very comfortable in Belarus. “I have actually had a lot of impressions because previously I had only read about Belarus on the internet. Now I have had the opportunity to see its sights for myself. I was very happy and surprised when I visited a Belarusian bog and when we walked through the forest. With each passing day, I am getting more and more impressions,” he said. “I have actually visited many countries, both in Western Europe and Asia, and although I have not been here for very long, I already have the impression that Grodno is a very clean city, the cleanest city of all the cities I have visited in other countries.” He added that he would definitely recommend Belarus to his followers and friends. “You get to see such beautiful landscapes here. The country has a very deep history. There is a very big difference between what I thought before coming here and what I have seen in reality. I really like the city of Grodno,” the guest said.
Blogger Maomao shared her impressions during the tour: “Belarus is a very beautiful and fascinating country in my eyes, with very deep historical roots. All the sights we have visited have really surprised me. We do not have anything like this in China. The program has been very carefully designed, interestingly planned and well organized for us. You also have very delicious food. Before coming here, I could not even imagine that Belarusian cuisine and Belarusian food could be so delicious.”
The familiarization tour for vloggers kicked off on 7 September. It was organized by the National Tourism Agency with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the People’s Republic of China and Belarusbank.
The National Tourism Agency prepared a packed one-week program for the Chinese bloggers, which may eventually serve as the basis for a new tourism product. The blogger tour for Chinese influencers is the National Tourism Agency’s first major project to promote Belarus’ tourism potential abroad and attract foreign travelers. The organizers plan similar tours for representatives of other friendly countries in the near future.
