Anton Smolski, Dzinara Alimbekava win Summer Biathlon Federation Cup

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Anton Smolski and Dzinara Alimbekava won the national event Summer Biathlon Federation Cup, BelTA has learned.

The event took place at Dinamo National Olympic Stadium. The tournament featured members of the Belarusian national team, ans also representatives of Belarusian oblasts and the city of Minsk. Biathletes competed in the 900m cross-country and 10m rifle shooting.

The men’s event was won by Beijing Olympics silver medalist Anton Smolski. He was followed by another member of the national team Mikita Labastau. Third was representative of Vitebsk Oblast Ivan Bodritsky.

Clean-shooting Dzinara Alimbekava was victorious in the women’s event. Second was Yuliya Kovalevskaya from Vitebsk Oblast, third – Viktoriya Khodasevich from Minsk Oblast.
