One week is left before the start of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea. For 17 days, from 9 to 15 February, PyeongChang will bring together about 3,000 best athletes from 92 countries, including Belarus. The opening ceremony will be held at the Olympic Palace on 9 February. The same evening will mark the end of the 2,018km torch relay which featured 7,500 torchbearers from 17 cities and provinces of South Korea.

Team Belarus includes 32 Olympians in six sports: biathlon, freestyle skiing, short track, speed skating, cross-country and downhill skiing. While planning the Pyeongchang schedule of the national team Belarus took into account the experience of Beijing 2008 and Seoul 1988 in part of adaption of athletes to the time and climatic conditions. Belarus has medal hopes in biathlon and freestyle skiing, among whom are Sochi Olympic champions Darya Domracheva, Anton Kushnir and Alla Tsuper
