The alley commemorating the soldiers of the police battalion under Captain Vladimirov, who showed fortitude and heroism when defending Mogilev from the Nazis in 1941, was unveiled in the village of Gai, Mogilev District on 1 March. The alley was set up on the initiative of the officers assembly of the Interior Department, the Mogilev Institute of the Interior Ministry and Mogilev City Hall. The names of 17 soldiers from the legendary battalion were established thanks to the archives. Steles made from black granite were erected to commemorate the heroes. The monuments have the initials, years of life and photographs of the majority of the police officers. The work to find the names of the rest of the soldiers continues.
