Unique dish “Butter Lamb” from Glubokoye District

This is a unique dish that has been recognized as intangible cultural heritage of Belarus and included in the state list of historical-cultural values of Belarus. The tradition lives on thanks to Marina Khrol from Matukovo village. The skillful hostess still serves, on big holidays, a lamb made of salted homemade butter whipped in a churn, just as her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother used to do.
