Belarus’ Sasha Minyonok performed 9th in the Grand Final of the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 20 November. Thanks to the vibrant song “Music is My Only Way”, the charismatic image and the bright performance accompanied by the Vitebsk show ballet company Sensatsiya, the young singer won the hearts of the audience and the jury. At the start of the voting the Belarusian singer was scoring high but the intrigue supported by the three panels of the jury remained until the last seconds. Finally, Sasha Minyonok placed seventh scoring a total of 177 points.

Talented singers from 17 countries gathered on the main arena of the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which was held under the motto “Embrace”. That evening the luck smiled upon the ten-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili of Georgia, student of the Broadway Method Academy who rounded off the contest with the song Mzeo (Sun). She finished far ahead of the others with a total score of 239 points. Armenia's duo of Anahit Adamyan and Mary Vardanyan with the song Tarber finished second (232 points), Italy's Fiamma Boccia with a touching song Cara Mamma came in third (209 points).
