Sculpture of a medieval boat unveiled on the bank of the Neman River in Grodno

A sculpture of a medieval boat was unveiled on the bank of the Neman River in Grodno on 5 June as part of the 11th Festival of National Cultures.

According to the author, famous sculptor Vladimir Panteleyev, he was inspired by a chess piece in the form of a medieval boat which was discovered by local archeologists in 1930s.
