A solemn procession along the central streets of Brest on Victory Day

As is tradition on Victory Day, residents and visitors of Brest made their way in a solemn procession to the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex, where the Belarus Remembers campaign unfolded. A rally and a flower- and wreath-laying ceremony took place at the Eternal Flame on Ceremonial Square. For many locals and visitors alike, coming to the Brest Fortress on 9 May is a sacred duty. They come to thank its defenders for the peace above their heads and to honor their memory.
