Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented the main award of the 23rd International Children's Song Contest to Belarusian Amalia Sukhan during a ceremony to open the 34th edition of the International Art Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 10 July.

Following two competitive days, two participants received the same points – 136. Those were Belarusian Amalia Sukhan and Miraz Nagashibay from Kazakhstan. The intrigue as to who picks up the main prize held to the last.

Young Belarusian Amalia Sukhan shared her feelings after receiving an award from Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. 

As per tradition, the head of state presented the main award of the 23rd International Children's Song Contest at the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk. This was a truly emotional moment for Amalia Sukhan, the winner of the contest.

“He treated me with great kindness, and all of my nerves disappeared, despite standing on such a large stage, in front of so many people, with the head of state, receiving such an important award that I earned for our country,” she said.
