Olympics 2024: Belarus’ Valodzka 4th in weightlifting

Belarusian weightlifter Siuzanna Valodzka finished 4th in the 71kg event at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. 

The event featured 12 athletes. The Belarusian placed fifth in the snatch, lifting 108kg and 111kg, but failed her 113kg attempt. Siuzanna Valodzka lifted 135kg in the clean and jerk. Her following attempts with 140kg and 142kg were unsuccessful. The Belarusian finished one step from the podium with a total of 246kg.

Bronze went to Angie Palacios of Ecuador, whose total was 256kg. Olivia Reeves of the United States clinched the Olympic champion title, with Mari Sanchez from Colombia taking silver.
