Olympics 2024: Belarus’ Abubakar Khaslakhanau misses out on wrestling final

Belarusian wrestler Abubakar Khaslakhanau failed to qualify for the Greco-Roman wrestling final at the ongoing 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games.

In the 97kg weight category the Belarusian returned to the ring less than an hour following his opening bout to face Egypt’s Mohamed Gabr in the quarterfinal. The rival prevailed 2-0 in the first period. In the second period the Belarusian won one point back but allowed a two-point throw, losing 1-4.
