Monument to Uzbekistan’s first president Islam Karimov

The monument to Islam Karimov was opened in Tashkent in August 2017. It is located in Islam Karimov’s former working residence Oqsaroy. There are plans to build a scientific and educational memorial complex there. Monuments in honor of the first president of Uzbekistan have also been erected in the cities of Qarshi and Samarkand where he worked for a long time.
