The Belarusian national football team kicked off the 2018 UEFA Nations League with a 5-0 rout over San Marino. Belarus played its first home match of the new international football tournament at the renewed Minsk Dinamo Stadium on 8 September.
Over 13,000 fans watched Belarus’ debut in the new UEFA tournament against San Marino at the legendary Dinamo Stadiumwhich has recently reopened after a major makeover. Igor Kriushenko’s men treated their fans to a breathtaking game and unforgettable emotions. One of Belarus’ best midfielders Igor Stasevich gave his team the lead in the 4th minute. Midway through the first half Stanislav Dragun extended the hosts’ advantage to 2-0. In the 67th minute Anton Soroka capitalized on a penalty shot – 3:0. Stanislav Dragun later scored his second of the match and Yuri Kovalev added the fifth in the 91st minute.
