The 3rd Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum in Vitebsk
The 3rd Belarus-Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum took place in Vitebsk on 2-3 September 2025. The event was organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.
Female business representatives, experts, and opinion leaders met to exchange expertise and to help strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The first day of the forum was held at local enterprises, which hosted seven panel sessions. The discussions focused on promising areas of joint work in mechanical engineering, light industry, agriculture, tourism, science, education, and healthcare. New to the forum this year was a meeting between heads of local government from Belarus and Uzbekistan, alongside a roundtable with representatives of women’s organizations from both countries.
The second day featured an exhibition of the national economic achievements of the regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan, and a plenary session to discuss promising cooperation avenues. The business forum was attended by over 200 successful entrepreneurs from the two countries, including 60 businesswomen from Uzbekistan.
During the forum, commercial documents were signed for a total amount of Br261 million, along with 18 documents on bilateral cooperation. The two previous events in Minsk and Tashkent were also fruitful, resulting in 30 contracts worth Br235 million and 36 agreements between social institutions and local authorities. These agreements paved the way for numerous joint projects.
